The countdown has started: The TeichmannGroup is joining forces while working on an exciting large-scale project. A gantry crane located in Kehl am Rhein is prepared for being moved to Switzerland.

As service provider for crane installations, lifting devices and door and gate technology KRANTECHNIK OST can look back on 25 years of company tradition by the end of this year. Much has happened since the foundation of the company: In the meantime KRANTECHNIK OST has become indispensable in the “new” federal states as an important service base of the TeichmannGroup and serves customers in the Eastern German sector and as well in Northern Bavaria and Eastern Hessen.

Gantry Crane in steel tube construction began its journey to the southwest of Sweden in the beginning of December 2015 where he had to be installed at the former location of an old tower crane. Dismantling of the existing crane was carried out before by the Swedish team of employees with supervision by a foreman provided by TEICHMANN CRANES. The gantry crane allowing a much faster handling of loads will still be inaugurated in 2015.

After an extensive reconstruction by TEICHMANN CRANES a newly designed second hand travelling crane now supports a German manufacturer of tool steels. With the installation of a special rotating trolley the bridge crane is now perfectly equipped for work in a huge storage location.

During the last quarter of the year 2015 TEICHMANN CRANES has in fact secured for itself 5 international orders for Container Gantry Cranes. Furthermore the Container Gantry Crane delivered by TEICHMANN CRANES to Basel already in the beginning of the year 2015, is surely one of the biggest crane installations currently located in Switzerland which proves that our competence in crane manufacturing is appreciated in Germany and all over the world.

Already the first order was a challenge. As the customer’s production always runs at high pressure in multi-shift operation, the overhead travelling crane with lifting capacity of 160t had to be assembled within a very short time frame. The team of TEICHMANN CRANES completed this task with flying colours by adapting the span and construction height and overhauling the crane within only some weeks. This is what prompted the decision of the customer to buy two more OET cranes immediately after conclusion of the first order. The second crane was assembled and put into service in the middle of October. The third crane, a 200 t overhead travelling crane, will follow shortly.

A special order from Fulda: The hall concept of an innovative steel construction company was realized. The challenge was: The crane had to be tailor-made. TEICHMANN CRANES delivered a special gantry crane that could be used as loading crane both inside and outside the assembly hall.

True to the motto “What does not fit, is made to fit” a second hand overhead travelling crane was equipped for transport of long goods which required new construction of some crane components. With this order the customer not just benefitted from the decades of expertise in crane construction that TEICHMANN can offer, but also from the wide range of services going far beyond reconstruction and assembly of the cranes.

In cooperation with BRUNNHUBER CRANES, TEICHMANN could refurbish two gantry cranes and deliver them to Schwanau within a time period of 10 weeks. On this occasion an existing gantry crane was repositioned on the factory site.

For several years now, the TeichmannGroup actively supports work with children and young people from socially disadvantaged groups or with an immigration background through its activities in the wrestling sport. Now the traditional sports club TV Essen-Dellwig, also sponsored by TEICHMANN CRANES, is shaking up the second Bundesliga. In the sports club: 2 highly promising junior wrestlers of our training group who have not just demonstrated their performance in successful competitions but who also have the intention to study at a university after having finished school.
