By the end of May we have released the most senior employee of the TeichmannGroup to enjoy his well-deserved retirement. Mr Peylo has started working for Brunnhuber in Eisenhüttenstadt in 1969 immediately after having finished his apprenticeship. During these incredible 47 years of working time he worked his way up to plant foreman in mechanics and temporarily he was responsible for 25 colleagues in the mechanical area.

For the first time our colleagues from Brunnhuber participated in the IKK BB company running day and with position 743 of 3.084 in the team score they achieved a fantastic sporting performance!

After two previous very successful cooperations TEICHMANN CRANES received another order for the relocation of a double jib level luffing crane from the Bayernhafen Group. Due to a restructuring measure the crane had to be moved from Aschaffenburg to Regensburg in order to perform here. Due to the confined space conditions at the place of origin in Aschaffenburg the relocation was a real logistical challenge and required expertise and sensitivity.

Already for the 16th time in a row the so called “Girls Day” took place in Essen. More than 400 companies provided an insight into traditional male professions to young girls from class 5 and higher. These are particularly professions in the fields of technics, trade, engineering and natural sciences.

Successful Opening in Essen: This year the first Service Meeting of the TeichmannGroup lasting several days took place in Essen. Our colleagues from all locations in Germany and from Switzerland came together. Besides the personal dialogue and getting to know each other the focus was particularly on the exchange of know how.

For our engineers the project was not just a logistical challenge in respect of the crane transport from Kehl am Rhein to Switzerland. In addition to that a sophisticated reassembly concept had to be developed in order to manage the assembly in very restricted space.

Last week the last overhauled components of the Container Gantry Crane left the manufacturing facility in Essen. To allow a quick start of the assembly works, the components were forwarded by ship and truck.

The beginning of a new year is a good moment to put the functional efficiency of existing equipment through rigorous tests. In order to assure that the cranes will continuously function reliably and without disruptions we carry out periodic maintenance and as well inspections (e.g. the check according to DGUV directive 3 (former BGV A3) and UVV inspections).
