On the grounds of the DuPont chemical park in Hamm-Uentrop, the logistics provider Karl Schmidt operates the entire raw material handling for the chemical group DuBay Polymer. Here, the container crane with a span of 30m, will handle 20-40 foot large special bulk goods containers, using a telescopic spreader.

The container gantry crane has a completely renewed electric control system including a completely renewed cabling. In addition, TEICHMANN CRANES supplied a new crane cabin, equipped with full air conditioning and a individually configurable driver's seat and control station that was especially developed by the Teichmann Group.

In addition to delivery and assembly of the container crane in Hamm, the crane experts from Essen also delivered and installed 2x165m crane rails on the concrete foundation provided by the customer.

For the globally operating logistics company, the new container crane represents a milestone for the intermodal handling of goods. The terminal in Hamm-Uentrop is the first terminal where containers are now being moved with the help of a container crane. Until now, the company was handling containers using so-called reach stackers. With the new TEICHMANN container crane, the customer can now work more effectively, environmentally-friendly and space-saving.

TEICHMANN CRANES will remain a service partner even after delivery and will carry out all future maintenance at set service intervals. The scope of services also includes on-call service in the event of a malfunction.
