The thyssenkrupp rothe erde plant in Dortmund produces large diameter bearings, rolling bearings and seamlessly rolled rings. The new TEICHMANN overhead traveling crane is used in production for the finishing of these rings by means of an electric rotating hook.

These seamlessly rolled rings are used, for example, for the construction of harbor cranes as so-called ball slewing rings and form the connecting piece between the upper and lower parts of the crane. Thyssenkrupp rothe erde is the market leader in this area too.
