To enable a highly efficient transportation of precast concrete elements across the storage area at the customer's site, a tailor-made crane solution was developed.

The gantry crane, with a load capacity of 40 tons, features a span of 36 meters as well as usable outreaches of 16 meters and 10 meters. This allows precast concrete elements to be moved efficiently and precisely over a total length of 62 meters – a decisive advantage for the customer’s storage and production processes.

Thanks to the larger outreach compared to the existing crane, the customer can now actively use additional areas of his storage space, making optimal use of the available area.

As part of the project, and at the request of OTTO QUAST Bau AG, the crane’s existing steel structure was preserved and completely refurbished. All other components, including the electrical system and controls, were entirely renewed.

The handover marks the successful completion of a technically demanding project, once again demonstrating expertise in the development of customised crane solutions.
