The refurbished gantry crane, equipped with a brand-new electrical control system, has a span of 36 meters and additional usable outreaches of 9 meters and 3.5 meters.

In the future, the crane will be used to handle 20- and 30-foot high cube containers as well as swap body containers. It offers a stacking height of 1-over-4.

In addition to the refurbished steel structure, the crane is equipped with a factory-new crane cabin and a completely new electrical control system.

Factory-New Electrical Control System with Semi-Automated Operation and Remote Maintenance Module

The factory-new electrical control system of the crane is housed in a newly insulated control room located on the crane bridge. The crane is operated via a Simatic S7 PLC. In addition, the system includes a remote maintenance module that enables the crane specialists at TEICHMANN KRANE to access the system remotely in the event of a malfunction, allowing for rapid troubleshooting and support.

For semi-automated positioning, the crane is equipped with position detection for crane travel, trolley travel, and hoisting. This enables the operator to semi-automatically move the crane to a predefined position within the storage area. Container pick-up and set-down are then carried out manually by the crane operator.

Factory-New Operator Cabin with Comfort Features

The crane cabin is mounted on the trolley and moves along with it. The distance between the cabin and the spreader ensures the crane operator has a full view of the load and the handling area or loading zone.

The cabin is equipped with a 270° rotating comfort seat, which can be individually adjusted to suit the operator. Additionally, the cabin is fully air-conditioned, ensuring a comfortable working environment in all weather conditions.
